what lies within the city...

New York, the invisible city

"The city does not tell its past, but contains it like the lines of a hand, written in the corners of the street, the gratings of the windows, the banisters of the steps, the anntennae of the lighting rods, the poles of the flag..."

days....1 - 7

first few days at new york city.

although i have been here previously, it is not until now, when i visit for who knows how long and i dont have that sense of a hurry every tourist has, that i get to sense the city as IT really is... or to say it more accurately, as IT presents itself to me in every single block, park, or person, for that matter. because if NYC is something... that is CHANGE... you may have an impression of the city, but the further you walk.. BHAM! it changes, i believe there is no-one, or something ( say: landmark, street, neighborhood or group of people ) that can describe what the so called big apple really is. and i wont even try to define IT, im just a newbie here, but what i can say, is that NEW YORK, is a city that should never, ever, be taken for granted.
